The project was initiated by Global Endeavor in 2004-05. We specified the type of radios
to be used, found the source, made the first orders and worked with Persecution Project
Foundation to distribute the first several thousand radios throughout South Sudan.
Since then, some 30,000 solar-powered and hand-crank radios have been distributed
throughout South Sudan and into refugee camps south of Darfur.
We want to see 36,000 more radios purchased and delivered with other humanitarian
goods during the next three years. Minimum shipments of 1,000 radios are sent at a cost
of $25 per radio.
Through the years, families have supported several radios, churches have provided funds
for dozens, and organizations have invested enough for 500-1,000 radios to be sent to
individuals in South Sudan. At $25 per radio, determine what you can do and do it!
All contributions are tax-deductible and are used solely for Radio Peace operations
where they are needed most or as you specify reaching tens of thousands daily with
Christian radio programs unavailable anywhere else in the region. You can give by check,
bank draft, or credit card. Cash or in-kind gifts (cars, boats, houses, etc.) can also be
given.
