Expansion of broadcasts
To our knowledge there are no Christian broadcasts specifically produced in Darfur
Arabic by Darfuri people. We plan to change that this year. And, we need your
help! We want to focus the healing, help and hope that the the gospel offers to one
of the most least-reached peoples in the world who are undergoing the worst suffering
imaginable.
These are children, women and men who have been on the run or herded into refugee
camps for their survival and often cutoff from the desperate humanitarian help they need.
Some Christian groups such as Persecution Project Foundation are meeting the
physical and spiritual needs among some Darfuri people but the task is greater than the
resources and access.
Radio Peace can do its part among Darfur peoples through Christian broadcasts into
camps across Sudan, Chad and elsewhere because we’re not bound by physical or
government-imposed barriers.
Opportunities:
-The cost to fund a production team to develop and produce a daily broadcast in Darfur
Arabic is $500/mo. Five donors giving $100 per month each can support this team
who’ll create a daily 30 minute program in Darfur Arabic.
-An audio production workstation costing $1,500 will give this production team the basic
tools needed for their daily broadcast. Three donors giving $500 each can meet this need.
-An entire radio station broadcasting 12-16 hours daily can be placed in a Muslim and
Christian community of 90,000 Dafuri and South Sudanese people in Northern Bahr El
Ghazal province south of Darfur for $75,000. 75 donors sharing $1,000 each can build this
station.
All contributions are tax-deductible and are used solely for Radio Peace operations
where they are needed most or as you specify reaching tens of thousands daily with
Christian radio programs unavailable anywhere else in the region. You can give by check,
bank draft, or credit card. Cash or in-kind gifts (cars, boats, houses, etc.) can also be
given.
