Establish Internet Connectivity
Relevant radio programs should be delivered in a timely manner. Whether in developed or
developing countries, this is only possible with the use of Internet connectivity. Our
undisclosed transmitter location is remotely situated for security purposes in the bush in
South Sudan. It operates on generator and solar power. There is no local electricity, no
telephone service or other utilities.
An Internet connection like the one you enjoy is a necessity if current programs are to be
delivered from producers from Sudan and other locations in the region to our transmitters
in South Sudan. Unlike the Internet connection you have, we require a special one that is
acquired through a large satellite dish.
This system coupled with a few PC’s will allow us to download broadcasts, edit
schedules remotely, and communicate to/from the transmitter site by voice and text with
other producers and technical staff in the region and beyond.
$25,000 purchases the V-SAT system and a small computer network, transports these
items to the site, covers customs fees and provides for installation.
100 donors giving $250 each or 50 donors giving $500 each completes the project.
Encourage your church, Bible study group or family members to get involved in outreach
to the millions of potential listeners to our Christian programs in five languages in Sudan.
All contributions are tax-deductible and are used solely for Radio Peace operations where
they are needed most or as you specify reaching tens of thousands daily with Christian
radio programs unavailable anywhere else in the region. You can give by check, bank
draft, or credit card. Cash or in-kind gifts (cars, boats, houses, etc.) can also be given.
